This is what our Pastors hold and teach - based on the authority, truthfulness, and sufficiency of God’s Word.
We teach that the Bible is God's holy Word (2 Tim 3:16). It perfectly teaches us what God wants us to believe and how He wants us to live (Ps 119:105). Long ago God inspired men to write down the books that comprise the Bible, but He is its ultimate author (2 Pet 1:20-21). We believe that the whole Bible points to Jesus (Luke 24:27), that it contains God's unchanging truth, without any mixture of error (Ps 119:160), and that it is the supreme standard for all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions (Isa 8:20).
We teach that God is a living, spiritual, and personal being: the Creator of everything, all knowing, all powerful, all present (Gen 1:1; Ps 139:7-10; Jer 32:17). He is the one who saves, sustains, and rules over all (Ps 103:19). He is completely holy and flawless in every way (Isa 6:3). Because of who God is, He deserves our deepest love, greatest respect, and full obedience (Deut 6:5). This eternal God exists and has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct persons, yet one in essence, nature, and being (Matt 28:19).
We teach that human beings were created by God in His image as the pinnacle of His creation (Gen 1:26-27). This means all human life, from conception to natural death, is sacred and has inherent dignity and worth (Ps 139:13-16; Exod 21:22-25). Originally innocent and free to choose, humanity fell by rejecting God's authority (Gen 3:6), bringing sin and brokenness into the world (Rom 5:12). Because of this, all people inherit a nature that is captive to sin (Rom 3:23; 8:7,8, Eph 2::1-3). Only by God's grace can we be restored to fellowship with Him and live out His purpose for us (Eph 2:8-9).
We teach that salvation is God’s free gift, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8-9), who secured eternal life by His atoning death and bodily resurrection for all who believe (Rom 5:8; 1 Cor 15:3-4). Salvation begins when the Holy Spirit makes us spiritually alive (John 3:5-6), leading us to repent and trust Christ (Acts 2:38). By faith God forgives all our sin and reconciles us to Himself (Col 1:13-14). In this life, believers are simultaneously righteous and sinful (Rom 7:18-25), growing in grace and holiness through continual repentance until He makes us whole in eternity (Phil 1:6).
We teach that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water as a public act of obedience (Matt 28:19), symbolizing faith in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, and new life in Him (Rom 6:3-4). It expresses hope in the final resurrection (1 Cor 15:20-22) and marks entry into church fellowship, including the Lord's Supper (Acts 2:41). The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic meal through which we remember Christ’s death, anticipate His return, and are spiritually nourished for the life of faith (John 6:53-56; 1 Cor 11:23-26).
We teach that the New Testament church is a local community of baptized believers who commit to follow Jesus together (Acts 2:41-42). Such a community proclaims the Word of God faithfully (2 Tim 4:2), observes baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Matt 28:19; 1 Cor 11:23-26), and lives out Jesus' teachings (Matt 28:20). The local church should be self-governed under Christ’s leadership (Acts 14:23), led by pastors (1 Tim 3:1-7), served by deacons (1 Tim 3:8-13), with all members sharing responsibility for its faithfulness and ministry (1 Cor 12:27). The Bible also describes the church as the community of all believers of all ages (Heb 12:1).
We teach that God will bring history to its rightful end in His perfect timing (Rev 21:6). Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the world (Acts 1:11; 2 Tim 4:1). The dead will be raised, and all people will stand before Him (John 5:28-29; Rom 14:10). Those who are in Christ will be raised to everlasting life with Him (John 3:16), while those who reject Him will face everlasting judgment and separation from God (Matt 25:46; 2 Thess 1:9).
