Worship services are primarily about lifting up the name of Jesus and kindling holy affections for Him and His Kingdom. We believe this is encouraged through a gospel-shaped liturgy, arranged to reflect the overarching pattern of Scripture and the gospel itself.
Our services include hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs, time for confession of sin, the public reading of Scripture, prayer, text-based preaching, and a corporate response to God’s Word. As part of this response, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper monthly. On weeks when the Supper is not observed, worshippers are still called to respond in faith, repentance, and obedience to Christ’s Word.
All ages are welcome in our services, including young children and infants, but we do offer nursery care for children from six weeks old to preschool age.
God's people are called to worship, not according to personal preference, but in mutual submission out of reverence for Christ. The music we choose must be musically excellent and congregationally accessible, and—above all—rich in sound theology. Since both traditional and contemporary styles can fulfill these aims, our services incorporate a combination of both.
Most attendees wear casual-to-business casual clothing. Come as you are—what matters most is your heart.
Yes, the 10:45 AM worship service is streamed weekly via the church’s Facebook page.
Jesus is in charge of First Baptist Church. The whole membership of the church is responsible to Him for the direction of our ministry and faithfulness of our theology. A team of dedicated pastoral and ministry staff work to serve the congregation in various roles— you can meet the full team under “About Us” → “Our Team”
While we do not offer licensed counseling services, we do have experienced Pastors who are willing to listen in confidentiality, remind you of the hope of forgiveness through Jesus, discern with you, and pray with you. Please contact our office for more information.
Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. (The church is also open on Wednesday evening during the school year, and of course we are open on Sundays!)
