Mike Parrett has a gather, grow and go spirit. He enjoys gathering people, encouraging them to grow in their journey with Jesus and then going to serve together in the love of Jesus.
As the Senior Associate Pastor – Education and Administration, Mike fills the role as Christian educator and administrator. He teaches and exhorts the Christian life. He leads, equips and develops individuals, staff and ministry teams to go make disciples.
When Mike was called to the pastoral staff as a bivocational minister he was serving as the pastor of Mound City Baptist Church and had been a long-time member of FBC. Mike is also a professor at Kansas City Kansas Community College where he directs the Respiratory Therapy Program. He is a M.Div. graduate from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and holds other degrees related to his work as a professor.
Mike and his wife, Linda, are healthcare providers who organize medical missions to Southeast Asia. They love traveling, meeting people and serving others. One of their favorite traditions is family vacations at the beach and now they take them with their five grandchildren.
